PROJECT // “Flying with the birds felt so special and absurd at the same time. I was nervous before the flight because I’m a bit afraid of heights. But it went away when I saw the microlight aircraft and the pilot. It was so cool to fly and feel the G-forces in the air, that I got totally hooked!”, says our DoP @ilkki who was filming the birds from above last summer. The Birds need to be guided to their wintering area with the guidance of human foster parents by @waldrappteam . To Teach a Bird to Fly documentary -fiction imagines a future where the relationship between humans and nonhuman species is not one based on exploitation, but on cohabitation and collaboration. The film turns the predominant dystopic climate change and extinction narratives upside down, and replaces them with a very differently imagined future.
